Absolutely! You definitely don't need to be natural in front of the camera or know how to pose.

I'll give you simple prompts and ideas throughout the session to help you relax and interact naturally. Rather than asking you to hold complicated poses, we'll walk, talk, laugh, cuddle and enjoy being together while I capture what happens naturally.

Most couples find that after a few minutes they forget the camera is even there. If you're worried, have a look at my natural posing tips for couples or tips for relaxed couple's sessions.

There are so many beautiful options for couples photography in Dorset. We can photograph you on the beach, along the coast, in woodland, in the countryside or somewhere that's particularly meaningful to you.

Some of my favourite areas include Studland, Swanage, Wareham Forest and the surrounding Dorset coast and countryside.

I'll help you choose a location that suits you, the season and the type of photographs you'd like.

You don't need to practise beforehand or know what to do with your hands. I'll guide you with gentle prompts throughout the session, but my aim is to capture genuine interaction rather than lots of stiff, traditional poses.

You just need to concentrate on enjoying time together, I'll take care of the photographs.

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and like yourselves. You don't need to match, but coordinating colours and textures can help your photographs feel cohesive.

For outdoor sessions, think about the location and weather and choose clothes that allow you to move comfortably. If you're unsure what to wear, I'm always happy to offer suggestions before your session.

Absolutely. In fact, I love it when couples choose somewhere that has a story behind it.

It might be where you had your first date, somewhere you walk together regularly, a favourite beach or simply a place where you both feel comfortable.

The location doesn't need to be famous or traditionally “pretty”, if it means something to you, that's what makes it special.

Of course! If your dog is an important part of your life together, I'd love to include them.

We'll choose a location where dogs are allowed and make sure there are photographs of you together as well as plenty of opportunities for your dog to have a little break from the camera.

Yes. An at-home couples session can be wonderfully relaxed and personal.

Rather than worrying about creating a perfectly styled space, we'll focus on the places where you naturally spend time together. Cooking, drinking coffee, cuddling on the sofa or simply enjoying a quiet morning together can all become part of your photographs.

For outdoor sessions, I'll keep an eye on the forecast and we'll decide together whether the conditions are suitable.

Cloudy skies can actually create beautiful, soft light, so a little unsettled weather doesn't necessarily mean we need to cancel. If the weather is genuinely unsuitable, we'll look at another date.

Most couples sessions take around an hour, although I don't work to a strict stopwatch.

I want you to have time to relax, get comfortable and enjoy the experience rather than feeling rushed. We'll make the most of the location, light and moments that happen naturally.

After your session, I'll carefully select and edit your photographs before preparing your online gallery.

You'll then be able to view your finished images from the comfort of home and choose your favourites according to the collection you've booked.
