dorset based family and couples photographer
Natural moments. Genuine connection. Timeless memories.
Working with me is all about creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience for the whole family. I know that family life can be wonderfully unpredictable, so I never expect children to sit perfectly still or force awkward poses. Instead, I gently guide you through natural interactions, games and moments together that allow genuine connection and emotion to shine through.
As a mum in a blended family with five children, including three with additional needs, I understand that every family is different. Patience, flexibility and building trust are at the heart of how I work, and I always aim to create a calm, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves.
My sessions are designed to feel more like quality time together than a formal photoshoot, resulting in authentic images that reflect your family exactly as you are.

FAQ's
What should we wear for our session?
Neutral and soft, earthy colours photograph beautifully. Think warm creams, browns, blues, greens and terracotta pinks. Solid colours tend to work better than patterns. Coordinating colours work better than matching exactly, and details like knitted fabrics, lace or embroidery add texture and interest. I recommend choosing one or two warm earthy accent colours to pair with neutrals. I'm always happy to help with outfit guidance before your session.

What if my children don't sit still?

Please don't worry! I've raised five of them myself, and I never expect children to sit perfectly or smile on command. My sessions are relaxed and child-led, allowing little personalities to shine naturally through play, cuddles and connection.

do you work with children with additional needs?

Absolutely! As a parent of children with additional needs myself, I understand that every child is different. I approach each session with patience, flexibility and empathy to create a calm and comfortable experience for your family.

where do sessions take place?

Most of my sessions take place outdoors in beautiful Dorset locations, making the most of natural light and space for children to explore and relax. I also offer in-home lifestyle sessions for a more personal feel. These are often suited for newborn sessions.

how long does a session last?

Family sessions typically last around an hour, allowing everyone to settle in without feeling rushed.
Mini sessions are back-to-back in one location and tend to be around 15-20 minutes.

what happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather isn't suitable for your session, we can simply rearrange to another date at no extra cost.

when will we receive our photos?

Your gallery will usually be ready within 3 weeks. I carefully edit each image to create a beautiful collection of memories for you to treasure.
I do offer the opportunity to "skip the editing queue" and have your photos within 24 hours at an additional cost - please contact me if this is something you are interested in.

we feel awkward in front of the camera, can you help?

Of course! Most families feel like this at first. My approach is very relaxed and natural, with gentle prompts and movement rather than still posing, so you can focus on enjoying time together.
