"From the very beginning, the whole process was fantastic. Nikki sent over a simple online booking system which was incredibly easy and straightforward to use, allowing us to choose a time slot that suited us.
My son has some modelling experience and is very confident in front of the camera. Me, on the other hand, not so much! I usually find having my photo taken quite uncomfortable and tend to avoid being in front of the camera altogether. Like many mums, I'm normally the one taking the photos, whether it's of my son on his own or with his dad. There are very few photos of my son and me together, and that's something I really wanted to change. I wanted some special photographs that captured our relationship and that I could cherish for years to come.
On the day of the shoot, Nikki was there ready to meet us at the agreed time. Despite having clients before us, she was punctual, professional and organised. She immediately made both my son and me feel comfortable with her warm and friendly nature, which really helped settle my nerves.
During the session, Nikki took us to several beautiful locations around Upton Country Park and made the experience feel relaxed and natural. She regularly checked in to see if there were any specific shots we wanted, but we were more than happy to trust her creativity and go with the flow. Her patience and ability to work with children was brilliant, and she managed to capture so many genuine smiles and lovely moments.
When we received the gallery, I was genuinely overwhelmed. It was incredibly difficult to narrow down our favourites because there were so many beautiful images to choose from. More importantly, Nikki captured exactly what I had hoped for – precious memories of my son and me together that I will treasure forever.
