Black and white photography is my absolute favourite. It has a timeless feel that allows the emotion and connection to shine through and take centre stage.
Without any colour distractions, your focus shifts to the expressions and relationships shown. A simple cuddle, shared laugh or close up detail can feel even more powerful in black and white.
Black and white edits also have a classic look that never goes out of style. They work beautifully for lifestyle photography, adding to storytelling images, emotional newborn moments and connection-led family portraits.
Not every image works in black and white, but when you receive your gallery from me, the ones I convert to black and white edits too tend to be my favourites. Certain moments naturally suit the softer, more emotional feel that they create.
